Meet Our Staff:
Kathryn Fauble, Director, brings a variety of professional experience to her role as Executive Director for the Western IL AHEC • Illinois Network for Education and Training. Her background includes extensive work in health care public relations, health information, health education and program development. Kathy has also implemented a variety of social marketing and public health campaigns in the areas of arthritis education, health career awareness, and health literacy. In addition, she developed the AHEC's telehealth video conference educational programming for rural providers in Illinois .
Liz Swanson, Assistant Director, has worked in the non-profit world for over 20 years; she comes to the role of assistant director with a diverse background. Liz started her career in non-profit by working for the Girl Scouts of the Becky Thatcher Area. She served in numerous staff positions including: Membership Director, Fund Development Director, and eventually Executive Director.
After leaving the world of Girl Scouting, Liz went to work for the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association serving as a program director. In these positions, Liz worked at the grassroots level of community health education building strong networks of support for community initiatives.
Meet our Nursing Advisors:
Pat Schou, RN, MSN, serves as the i-Net Lead Nurse Planner. As the Lead Nurse Planner, Pat guides the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nurse training programs. She assures that eduational programs provided by i-Net meet the criteria for continuing nursing education as provided by the Illinois Nurses Association. Pat is also the executive director of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN), the first state-wide critical access hospital network in the country, established in 2003
Lisa Downs, RN,MSN, recently completed her Master's degree from SIUE. She is Director of Nursing for Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville Illinois and is actively involved in policy and procedure development and providing education to nursing staff. She works closely with i-Net as a designated nurse planner.
Sue Rowe, RN, MSN, is currently adjunct faculty at Sauk Valley Community College where she is a clinical instructor for advanced med/surg and OB. At KSB Hospital Sue participates in planning and presenting in-services to nursing staff and is involved in the med/surg nursing policy and procedure committee. She works with i-Net as both a Board member and as a designated nurse planner.
